Award-winning rapper Sarkodie has caught a lot of heat on Twitter for his tweet about hardships in Ghana.
Today, Public Transport drivers commenced on a sit-down strike over high fuel prices in Ghana.
Their action has caught a lot of attention on social media and generating a lot of reactions.
Sarkodie was quick to join in the conversation through a tweet stating that Ghanaians were barely asking for a conducive environment to go about finding their daily bread.
āthe people are going through it !!! We always do !!! All we ask for is the right environment to hustle/ be productive ā¦” he wrote.
Sarkodieās tweet quickly generated a lot of reactions from his followers.
According to one user, Sarkodie completely turned a deaf ear all this while to the complains of Ghanaians.
ā You see the hardships the citizenry are going through. U’ve turned a deaf ear to it. Assuming it was a certain John Mahama’s era, by this time u drop back to back diss tunes firing. Fast forward, another party is in charge, u mute,rather, u appearing at their funerals layin verses,ā the user wrote.
Another user chastised Sarkodie for campaigning for the NPP with his song and asked that he chastise the ruling government boldly.
