Shooting Stars FC launch BVB Legends Ghana Tour, football match slated for June 11th

Shooting Stars F.C, organizers of the Borussia Dortmund Legends Ghana tour yesterday, May 11th officially launched the event in Accra.
The press launch was held at Silicon House Production with former Bundesliga stars Anthony Baffoe, C.K Akonnor, Ibrahim Tanko, and Mallam Yahaya in attendance.

Notable football stars such as Asamoah Gyan, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Augustine Arhinful, John Paintsil, Prince Tagoe, and others graced the event.

Speaking at the event, Kofi Adjei Maafo an executive member of Shooting Stars FC detailed how the dream to host such a prestigious event took years of planning to materialize.

Declaring the event launched, Dr. Tony Aubyn of the Ghana Football Association applauded Shooting Stars FC for taking the initiative to host an event that would open doors for more opportunities between the football fraternity in Ghana and other football organizations in the world.

Head of Marketing at Shooting Stars FC, Martin Heward-Mills shared the outline of activities planned for the four-day event starting on June 9, and ending on June 12, 2022.

They include;
▪ A Youth Development Coaching Clinic, CSR activities (visit to Chance for
Children’s home)

▪A Gala Dinner on the 9th of June.
▪ A curtain raiser game between the talented Shooting Stars FC and a select side
to precede the game.

▪ HRM Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III will host the BVB and African Legends with Shooting Stars FC in a royal durbar at Okuapehene’s Palace on Friday, June 10th.
▪ A golf tournament on the 12th of June 2022.

The main highlight of the BVB Legends Tour will be a super clash between the African Giants and BVB Legends at the Accra Sports stadium on June 11th, 2022.

Former Ghanaian players and others who played in the German Bundesliga while active will line up as Legends of Borussia Dortmund (BVB) and face an assembled side of African Football Giants.
The headline game will be graced by some of the greatest African players of all time such as the prolific and talented Abedi Ayew Pele, Borussia Dortmund’s Top-talent Trainer and Black Stars’ coach Otto Addo, former Wolfsburg captain Charles K. Akonnor, Former BVB Champions League winner Ibrahim Tanko and other football greats like Samuel Osei Kuffour, Stephen Appiah, Asamoah Gyan, and a host of others.
