South African Tourism hosts SA Specialist graduation in Ghana

South African Tourism graduated another batch of SA Specialists as part of its 2019 Trade Roadshow activities in Ghana last Friday. The Road Show was held in Kumasi and Accra and ended with a cocktail graduation ceremony for about 20 people who went through a 6months online course to become certified professionals in selling destination SA.

Speaking to Ameyaw TV, West Africa Regional Head for SA Tourism, Thekiso Rakolojane touched on the importance of having members from Ghana’s Travel and Tour industry being certified as SA Specialists.

The South African Tourism Road Show begun in Kumasi, Ghana on Wednesday, August 21; followed by Accra City on Friday, August 23. The roadshow highlighted South Africa’s affordable experiences and diversity of offerings to key travel partners in the West African region; spanning across travel, accommodation, entertainment, and events in the city, with a focus on opportunity for partnership development between and among South African Product Owners (SAPO), Trade partners and other stakeholders.

The roadshow activities include Trade Workshop/Engagement, SA Specialist Graduation Ceremony and launch of the South Africa Trade Awards.
