Amazing South African wines come alive at Wine and Food pairing event in Accra

Wines of South Africa and The Western Cape Province Department of Agriculture hosted an exclusive wine and food pairing dinner in Accra.

As part of efforts to continue the global campaign to grow Wines of South Africa on the Continent, WOSA invited 50 guests to an exceptional Wine and Food pairing event on Friday 19 February 2021 at the Movenpick Hotel. The event was curated to cater for the growing demand of WOSA brands on the Ghanaian market.

The dinner was attended by the new SA High Commissioner to Ghana, Her Excellency Madam Grace Mason who took the opportunity to encourage Ghanaians to continue the patronage of South African brands as the two countries share a strong cultural bond.

Ms Mason further remarked her tenure in Ghana will largely focus and Tourism promotion and the hope for VISA free entry for Ghanaians into South Africa. Among the dignitaries include, Matthew Mensah Ghana’s Tourism Ambassador at the office of the President, Mr. Isaac Tetteh CEO of TT Brothers, Mr. Kwesi Kyei Darkwa, Bola Ray, AJ Sarpong, and host of other celebrities and socialites. In concluding remarks, Bill Bedzrah, Ghana Country manager of WOSA assured all patrons, there has been exponential growth of South African wines in Ghana to meet the increasing demands. The next exclusive event is slated for mid-year 2021 depending on the global response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
