For lovers of quality entertainment, there’s certainly good news. Globe Productions presents a satirical stage drama dubbed Thank God for Idiots at the National Theatre on Friday June 29. This is Globe Production’s fourth foray into the field of stage drama with two previous productions under their belt. The outfit was responsible for critically acclaimed Romantic Nonsense, You May Kiss the Corpse and also produced the Gallery of Comedies, one of the greatest comedies ever produced in Ghana. This time around; they’ve come up with this commonsense filled satirical piece. Imagine a young couple who are living large because the man has inherited his late brother’s property. Despite all they have, the marriage is on the rocks. Expressing their emotions towards each other is one big problem. One midnight, in the midst of a very heated argument, they have a visitor. Who is this visitor, is it the Ghost of his late brother? What is the purpose of the visit at that ungodly hour? Will this visit be good or bad news to the couple? For the answers to these, you make it to the National Theatre to sample the comedy of the moment, Thank God for Idiots. There will be two shows on the day at 4pm and 8pm. The show also moves to Takoradi 1st July and to Kumasi on the 7th of July 2012.]]>
