The Best Traditional Marriage Gowns for 2023
Happy new year my loyals, what a year it has been but we’ve been able to surmount it all. We are indeed the real MVPs.
2024 I’m optimistic and hopeful we going to conquer it all!!! Let’s do this!
You know we love a list here, 2023 saw a lot of nuptials and the hype that came with them. We wish the couples all the best in their marriages.
There were a lot of hit and misses in the wardrobe department of most of these nuptials. I’ve decided to list down some of the engagement gowns that caught our eye.
I didn’t want to delve into the Tobi wedding gowns (white wedding) this time, i will do one for 2024.
The list isn’t in order of rankings, regardless, I know who is top of my rankings.
Traditional marriage outfits have become repetitive, there isn’t much creativity out there. It’s the era of the corsets and synching of waist that has become the order of the day.
My hope is that designers and stylists will leave the “who dey breathe” and “e choke” inspired looks in 2023 and blow our minds with something fresh and nouveau.
Some of these brides with heavy waistlines and chests are suffering but someone will say “how for do” they also want to be trendy.
In as much as I believe fashion is uncomfortable, I’m also of the conviction that wear what makes you comfortable.
Enough!!! Me koaraa I like shalaye too much 😂 here we go!!!
Now to our best gown for the year….
This creativity piece of this outfit is fresh and was out of the norm. I Stan originality and peculiarity. This outfit when I saw knew it was going to be the best engagement outfit for 2023. Though, I was waiting to be blown away by the December brides but none could.

These selection of outfits made it for us. You can say is editors choice. We love the creativity that went into it.
Some of the designs that we nearly considered were good at fitting but the finished work put us off.
I think is the desperation to overly impress or the eagerness to add too many embellishments.
Designers should work on getting illusion meshes that matches with skin tone of brides. A major turn off for me is when meshes does not blend in well with skin tone.
Going forward my dear brides stick to simplicity and have a personal style and fashion conviction. Stop copying blindly!!!
