The moving story behind Minstrel Gabrielle’s latest single, ‘Nyame Aye Me Show’

Minstrel Gabrielle is out with a new song, ‘Nyame Aye Me Show’. The song, which is produced by King Paul Beats, bears testimony to the struggles she has faced in life and a reason to be eternally grateful.

Around 10 years, she was picked by prophesy by a now retired Pastor of The Church of Pentecost (then Pastor of Adenta District), Pastor Steve Millar as one called for ministry and hence was baptized. Baptism at such a tender age was unusual in the church. Some elders even queried why she should be baptised at such a tender age, but the pastor replied that he’s under instruction from the Holy Spirit to do so.
After her baptism, Pastor Millar called her separately and admonished her to take her Christian life seriously, for God has an important assignment for her. He then urged her to get close to him and his wife, Mama Fidelia Millar.

After this, she took her church activities seriously. In her quest to do something for God, she chose to join a youth choir of the church called “Youth Ambassadors” since she loved singing and that started her musical journey. She recalls elders like Dr. Nuertey and McGyimah and Deaconess Mama Frema (all of Adenta Central Assembly then) were great mentors to her.
The issues of life led her to live with different people, including expatriates and missionaries, for a while. Some of whom loved music and helped her grow in it.

Some few years later, in her teens, she found herself living in Nigeria. This seemingly ordinary journey turned out to be a major step in her life. It was divinely ordered. While at home in Nigeria, she was told that a prophesy about her has gone forth in the church her guardian attends (Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG) and that she’s supposed to be trained for ministry. She was taken to one Pastor Joel Oke, who was the head of the then School of Missions and later taken to meet Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Church. Pastor Adeboye assured her he’s taken her as his daughter and has given her full scholarship to the college.
She spent 3 years at the Bible Missions College. Two years at the school and one year practical. The practical took her to Agbalama village in the Bonny Islands in the Cross River State. She started a missionary post and pioneered a branch of the church there.
She joined the choir of the mission school. This helped her to develop her musical talent and received grace for singing ministry. As she says , “My time at the Bible school was difficult for me, but the best thing that ever happened in my life. It built a solid foundation for me in my christian walk and in life matters in general. The full story about my time at the Missions School will be told another time.”
After school, she came back to Ghana hoping to continue her missionary works. She worked with many ministries, including her mother church, The Church of Pentecost, and went on crusades to various parts of the country. Much of her ministration is hinged around songs of worship and praises and during such musical ministration, congregants get blessed with healing, miracles, and prophetic ministration.
During this time, a very strong storm attacked her. She found herself homeless and destitute, lonely and in extreme distress. That is also a major story for another time
In the midst of the storm, she held strongly to her God, believing that she would come out of it stronger. God, in his mercies and grace, brought some wonderful destiny helpers into her life who then helped her to regain her feet in ministry one step at a time.
She believed in Psalm 23:5 that her God would set a table before her in the presence of her enemies (and her loved ones or friends alike). This is the basis of the songs title – “Nyame aye me show.”
She believes this song is a testimony of God’s goodness and, at the same time, a prophesy to her and Al, who are ministered to by the song that God will publicly bless them and do so overwhelmingly
She believes some will sing and dance to the song to testify of what our Good God has done for them. It will also encourage others to stand firm in him like she did as they await the sure visitation of the Lord that will make them laugh to the extent that those who hardly believes in God will say – “this one is the doing of their God” – Psalm 126:1-3.
So “Nyame Aye Me Show” is both a TESTIMONY and a PROPHESY. The scriptural basis of the song is Psalm 23:5a and Pslam 126:2b
Minstrel Gabrielle is committed to a promise she made to God when she had a near fatal accident (during a church funeral trip) and was hospitalized. She had a spiritual encounter in which she made a promise to God as a young teenager that she would serve him. Minstrel Gabrielle Music Ministry is part of her service to God, and she hopes to bless all and sundry with the gift God has given her.

Though Minstrel Gabrielle as a trained missionar, works with different ministries, she currently worships with Winners Chapel under Pastor Ebenezer Gbanaglo-Wonderful who has been a great source of inspiration to her. She is a dedicated memebr of the Choir at her branch.

Apple Music is celebrating Africa Month with a special focus on Afrobeats, highlighting one of the most eclectic and influential sounds in music today.

Apple Music kicks off the celebrations with the introduction of cover stars on its Afrobeats Hits playlist, starting with Nigerian singer-songwriter, Fireboy DML who just released his new single “Everyday.”

“As the first artist to be featured on this Apple Music playlist, I feel incredibly honoured and grateful,” Fireboy DML tells Apple Music. “Since 2019 I’ve had incredible support from Apple Music and I’m sure the whole African music scene can say the same. I’m excited to see where this leads and what it will do for the culture.”

Speaking about his new single “Everyday,” Fireboy DML adds: “This new era of my career is about reconnecting with one’s roots, old self and focusing on the things that truly matter — love, family, personal health. Jerry Michelle Mishiame, artistically known as Greykoffi/ Nyeselorm is a Ghanaian – UK based Contemporary Urban and Christian musician, and songwriter. Greykoffi is a former member of a duo group “Tekyerema”.

Greykoffi began his recording career in 2003, where he recorded his first demo with various artistes at that time. He has performed with several Ghanaian artistes like Reggie zippy, Echo, Castro, Asase aban, Episode and many more.
