The Sharks Quiz: Mawuli School outclasses Okuapemman School to progress to the semifinal

Volta heavyweights, Mawuli school became the second school to qualify for the semifinal of The Sharks Quiz beating Eastern side Okuapemman School in an interesting quarterfinal contest.

The Mawuli side came back from a deficit in the first and second rounds to clinch this all important victory making them the second side after Presec- Legon to qualify for the semifinals in Season 3 of The Sharks Academic Competition. The scores at the end of the contest was 115 points to 50 points in favor of Mawuli.

At the junior level, Burma Camp JHS won against Bethel AME Zion, Ashiaman in a tough Greater Accra match. Both sides had been impressive in their earlier contests but it was Burma Camp JHS who showed more grits and determination to clinch victory in the contest.  90 – 40 it ended. Burma Camp JHS becomes the second school to qualify for the semifinals at the juniors’ level.

The excitement still continues in The Sharks Academic Competition. Next week top Accra boys school St. Thomas Aquinas School face off with the Zebra boys from Cape-Coast, Adisadel College.  The contests shows on TV3 (DSTV 279) every Saturday from 2.30pm and streams live on The Sharks Facebook page. The Sharks YouTube page also has all the contests of the competition.

The Sharks all-round competition focuses on  core competencies – Literacy, Numeracy, STEM and Social Literacy and is endorsed by the Ministry of Education, supported by Family Health Medical School, Academic City College, Ashesi University, Webster University, Indomie, B5 Plus, Frytol, Fortune Rice, Louisiana State University, University of St. Thomas, Givers Care, Coco Pops and Mcberry biscuits.
