Award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Eno Barony, believes the campaign for support for women in the music industry should not be limited to the industry, but spread across.

According to the “Low Key” rapper, although there have been several calls for support for females in the music industry, she believes the support should come from everywhere and not just limited to the industry.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM with Doreen Avio, Eno Barony encouraged women in top leadership positions to rally behind and support females in other industries.

“We should support ourselves more, when a woman is doing something, I feel ours create more employment than the guys’ and so need to be supported,” she stated.

She continued;; “In terms of support, I don’t think we should only be supported based on just the industry. Even the government, let’s say a female minister comes to say oh I like Eno’s new song let me tweet about it, or the ministry of women and gender is doing a project and calls on Eno or Wendy Shay.. That will go a along way, not just the industry because there are some people who have a loud mouth and the respect that when they see people are affiliated to that person, it goes a long way for you. So women supporting women shouldn’t be musicians supporting musicians, it should be everywhere,” she added.
