Ghana Is Now Better Than London – Chairman Wontumi Claims 

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, better known in the political space as Chairman Wontumi has boldly asserted that Ghana is currently better than London in terms of development and progress.

The renowned politician and businessman attributed what he described as an outstanding development to the good leadership of President Akufo-Addo and his appointees.  

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosii Sen’ show on Thursday, December 7, 2023, Wontumi claimed that the President and his appointees including ministers, regional executives amongst others have elevated the country’s status above that of many developed countries including the United Kingdom, through their unique governance style.

He emphasized that Ghanaians are now reaping the benefits of the government’s good policies. Wontumi further made reference to the high rise buildings in areas like Cantonments and Labone, saying that they are testaments of the government’s commitment to development.

“Ghana is better than London. Go to Labone and Cantonments and see the nice buildings scattered across. Just look at the country, everything is moving very well. That is why we are giving the mantle to Bawumia to continue the good works. Ghana is really changing…I mean we are really doing well, ” he said.
