Tiwa Savage Addresses Sextape on new song ‘Loaded’
The Queen of Afrobeats and African Bad Gal, Tiwa Savage has released a new single today, November 8, titled “Loaded.”
The song features YBNL’s top talent, Asake and produced by MagicSticks.
In the almost 3-minute long song, the 42-year-old singer addresses her sex tape which sparked widespread uproar about a year ago.
The song’s first verse is sung by Asake, and the second stanza is introduced by Tiwa Savage. She refers to her sextape, which was made public by a blogger in October 2021, and offers a quote to the critics. To convey herself, Tiwa Savage simply required two lines.

In her words, “Awon blogger blogger to fe fi mi gba star (The Bloggers that want to use my name to rise), Sex tape o le baye mi je (Sex-tape can’t spoil my life/ruin my career), Igbadun kekere yen (that little enjoyment), ‘Na who never fuck, hands in the air…”
In essence, the award-winning singer is stating that her career won’t be ruined by the October 2021 incident.
The second part of the statement was based on a well-known passage from Black Sherif’s “Kweku The Traveller.” She uses that bar to indicate the degree to which she is prepared to accept the inevitable fallibility of being human.
The song’s official video also adds an additional 10-second sketch to further emphasize this idea. The awaited video’s director was TG Omari.
