Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has inked a deal with Prime Video for the release of her debut movie, “Water and Garri.”
This marks a significant step for the Queen of Afrobeats, as the film is set to be available on Prime Video in over 240 countries worldwide.
Tiwa Savage takes on the lead role in this Meji Alabi directed movie shot in Cape Coast, Ghana. Alongside actors Mike Afolarin and Jemima Osunde, the film narrates the story of Aisha (Savage), an ambitious fashion designer returning home after a decade in the U.S., navigating her scars and confronting lingering guilt.
The movie promises to cast African stories in a captivating light, showcasing Tiwa Savage’s success in both the music and film industries.
