Twitter’s most followed Ghanaian media personalities
Social media is certainly a big thing in Ghana and increasingly people are relying on platforms such as twitter and facebook for all kinds of information. Thus personalities that give information on radio, television and in other forms of publications become a good source of information on these platforms. When it comes to twitter, Ghanaian celebrity blogger/publicist, Ameyaw Debrah (@ameyaw112) tops the list of the most followed Ghanaian media personality with over 10,300 followers and still counting. His www.ameyawdebrah.com has over the years become the go to blog for the latest in celebrity news, lifestyles, art and culture. He uses twitter to share links to his posts as well as other interesting facts and news in the day. He has more twitter followers than all the major news websites in Ghana, and therefore not surprising that he calls himself ‘The King of New Media’.
Other media personalities with twitter presence include Okay FM’s Abieku Santana (@abiekusantana) with 7672 followers, Citi FM’s Jessica Opare Saforo (@jessicacitifm) with 9291, and YFM’s Jeremie (@jeremieonyfm) with 8759.
