Victoria’s Secret model Veronica Varekova visits Ghana for Miss Universe Ghana finals

International Supermodel, and former Victoria’s Secret model Veronica Varekova is joining Yvonne Nelson, Benny Blanco, Leila Lopes and Brian D. Hogan to complete the judging panel for this weekend’s Miss Universe Ghana finals. “Each judge will impartially assess the talent, beauty, intelligence and confidence of each contestant in addition to a number of different categories and at the end of it all, will have the hard task of deciding who will inherit the Miss Universe title and crown from the reigning queen,” the organizers have said. The Sports Illustrated model is expected in Accra in the next few hours ahead of the Friday event, at the La Palm Royal Hotel. A successful model, Varekova was a constant feature in S.I from 1999-2002 and 2004-2007. She appeared on the cover in 2004. She’s also graced the covers of Marie Claire, Harpers & Queen and Csomopolitan among other publications. Prizes for this year’s winner include New York Film Academy Scholarship, Management and Public Relations team for the year,Ghc 5,000 worth of wardrobe for appearances and the international competition, and A gym membership.
