Kabutey OcanseyKabutey OcanseyThe end of year came and with it many and varying events tailored for all ages and categories of audience. Some events over the years have become established on particular days and case in point is the Kojo Antwi Experience on December 24. This year, it moved to the plush Kempinsky Gold Coast City Hotel, Accra and delivered a truly befitting and exciting experience to its highly-distinguished guests who came in their hundreds. Known within the social events space, for his immersive brand of ‘Mcing’ that get him totally dissolved into the event and carrying guests along in total surrender, this was a kind of unveiling on a grand paid event platform, and no mean than the legendary Kojo Antwi Experience Show. He definitely lived up to the task with distinction worthy of the platform. The seeming ease with which he endeared himself to the audience, which included the elevated presence of H.E. J.A Kufour, Former President of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, Ghana’s longest service first lady, Ministers, CEO and dignified personalities, was much admired. He was very comfortable, confident and effective getting them to burst into laughter intermittently. At a point when it seemed there was a hitch with the announced performer not quite ready, Kabutey perfectly rescued the situation with his “Ghana Sound Chorus” that got the audience responding to his call outs and climaxed with a rapturous applause. “After five years as a professional event Mc this a great opportunity to take my craft to a higher level and everyone knows how big the Kojo Antwi platform is. I’m excited that the audience had a great experience. I look forward to a great year ahead,” the words of a visibly contented Kabutey after the show. 3212878953510 9489402451293 3678358631518 3373219945054 8580562822468 5757577023572 5512629996209 1616929967991  ]]>

The premiere of the most anticipated Ghanaian crime action thriller; The Agency, postponed to December 2

The Agency3

We wish to officially announce that Ghana’s most anticipated crime action thriller, The Agency, initially scheduled to premiere on October 1, 2022, has been postponed to December 2, 2022.

This difficult decision became necessary due to some challenges, including a planned renovation by Silverbird Cinemas, commencing two days after the premiere of The Agency movie and lasting about a week. Meaning that subsequent showings of The Agency in the cinema would have to be suspended for the entire duration of the renovation. From a business perspective, this is not prudent as a break in screening would water down the impact we anticipate audience reviews after the premiere will make, while potentially affecting revenue as well. Hence, the need to postpone to a more suitable date.

In considering suitable dates, we had to ensure that the new date was not set too close to or on the same day as any major local or international event and or movie releases. This is also important because it can adversely affect our premiere. After extensive consultations and careful consideration, it became clear that The Agency should premiere in December.

Coincidentally, the National Film Authority called on Cine-God Studios to discuss the Ghana Cinema Week slated for December 2022. The ten (10) day event seeks to revive the Ghanaian cinema culture by encouraging Ghanaians to watch Ghanaian films at various venues across the country. By supporting and participating in this initiative, we get a golden opportunity to access more screens; which means we get to bring the The Agency movie closer to more film lovers across Ghana faster than we initially scheduled.

In all, we believe that this postponement provides an opportunity for us to entertain film lovers without compromising on returns for our investor; a win-win situation.

The Agency is a crime-action thriller movie which tells the story of a very powerful government security agency, which was formed to handle the government’s top-secret operations but which gets corrupted under the leadership of a highly connected female government appointee who uses the agency for back-door business dealings, hence, causing the emergence of a group of highly skilled individuals to embark on a self-sanctioned perilous mission to end the corruption and abuse. It was Executive produced by Amin Ramart and directed by Abu Iddris.

We therefore take the opportunity to apologize for any inconveniences caused and encourage the public to turn out in their numbers on December 2, 2022 for the premiere at Silverbird Cinemas (Accra Mall and West Hills mall) and subsequent showings at venues near them.
