US-based Ghanaian musician, Perry who cut his teeth under the original VIP group at age 17, has stressed on the need for the old members of the group to reunite.
Speaking to Ameyaw TV on the #AmeyawMeets session, the musician who owns a record label ‘ONE PLATE MUSIC’ noted that the group was one of the best in the country due to their energy and style.
He said: “Everybody wants the old VIP back because their energy was totally different. The type of music they were doing was different. To be frank, they were one of the best groups Ghana ever had.
Although based in the US, Perry has collaborated with Ghanaian musicians like E.L and Rudebwoy Ranking.

Ghanaian hip-life group VIP was made up of Abdul Hamidu Ibrahim (Lazzy) Emmanuel Promzy Ababio (Promzy) Joseph Nana Ofori (Prodigal) before becoming VVIP after Prodigal left and Reggie Rockstone joined.
