Rapper, Pappykojo has given a fun reason to why his much-anticipated album, ‘Logos II’ took longer than usual to be released,  after an album listening session was held for it two years ago!

In an interview on Ameyaw TV, the rapper said he wanted fans to anticipate the album just like people did with the famous touring ship, Logos II.

“It was all planned because the ship too would take forever to come, that’s  whole concept.  People don’t even understand, people are not even paying attention. When I was a kid and they told us Logos II is coming on Friday and we will have to wait till it comes, so i wanted the album to feel like that,” he explained.

Logos II was purchased in 1988 and completed her service with OM Ships in July 2008. During her 20 years of service, over 11 million visitors were welcomed on board for tours, programmes and visits to the floating book fair. With stops in over 350 ports of call, this unique ship visited 86 countries and territories in Africa, the Americas, Europe, the Near East and many island nations. The work of Logos II is now being carried on by a replacement vessel Logos Hope.

Pappykojo also likened his album to ‘Pae Mu Ka’, the iconic debut from rap legend, Obrafour. It is already (on the same pedestal as Pae Mu Ka), I feel like it is an album that I wanted to come out when it was perfect. So much was put into it and I am happy I was able to work with all the artists I worked with on the album.

Logos II is an amazing  15-track album featuring the likes of Kofi Kinaata, Sarkodie, Fameye, Ahkan, Shaker, Ko-Jo Cue, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, RJZ, Phyno, Bususiwa, Kwesi Arthur, Medikal, Joey B, Manu Crooks, Adina, Kelvyn Boy, Magnom, Kuami Eugene and many more. Production credits on the album include Altranova, UnkleBeatz, DredW, Curtis, Guiltybeatz, Kuvie, Fantom, and many more.
