Oil City Fashion Weekend hits Takoradi on Saturday, July 27

oilcity fashion weekIn line with the modern trends in fashion on the African continent and the upspring of innovative fashion houses across Ghana, Empire Entertainment and Vienna City team up to host the Oil City Fashion Weekend in Takoradi on Saturday, July 27.  Scheduled to become a yearly event, Oil City Fashion Weekend will promote and grow the African and Ghanaian Fashion Industry through a weekend pack Fashion and entertainment program, to demonstrate the diverse, innovative and creative talents, as well as promote the country’s rich African textile industry. The maiden edition will hold at the Vienna City Beach in Takoradi and feature designer showcasing between 15 and 20 apparels. Designers will include Nineteen57 by KOD, Mandy’s Exclusive Wear, Benash Jeans, and Dazzle by Yaa Serwa, Samarra, Ani Siyah and Morrow Couture. It will be a weekend of Glitz, Glamour and Style that will give indigenous designers the platform to showcase and exhibit their talents and products to corporate ‘Oil City’, a city with Business in the Oil Industry, Logistics, Maritime and Mining Sectors. The Oil City Fashion Weekend will also be used to raise funds to support the Pediatric Unit of the Efia Nkwanta regional office and the Children Block of the Western regional Hospital. Resource persons from the Ghana Aids Commission will also be given the platform to shed more lights on the fight against the HIV/AIDS. The Oil City Fashion Weekend starts from 5pm and will witness pulsating performances from top Ghanaian acts including Jupitar, EL, Trigmatic, Adez and many others. Tickets are selling at 20ghc for singles, 30gh for couples and 50ghc for VIP.]]>
