Stonebwoy Holds Empowerment Program For People Living with Disabilities

Stonebwoy citi fm Stonebwoy[/caption] Award-winning dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy has organised an empowerment program for some people living with disabilities.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, the “Hero” hit maker shared with his followers about spending time with people with “physical disabilities” to inspire them to do better in society. He wrote: “Often when people think ‘disability’ their minds jump to people with physical disabilities such as those who use wheelchairs. But disability refers to physical, intellectual, psychiatric and even learning disabilities So Disability is an inescapable human condition and at one point or another, almost every person is exposed to, and may experience temporal [sic] or permanent disability. For too long, people with disabilities in the world have not been able to fulfill their potential due to stigmatization, exclusion, ignorance and lack of practical support. Yesterday, I spent time with some persons with “physical” disabilities as a Christmas Empowerment Initiative put together by My foundation, THE LIVINGSTONE FOUNDATION (@tlf_ghana ) and AFEE AFRICA to spur attendees on that there’s no glass ceiling to pursuing their dreams. Owing to the fact that the progress of enforcing disability policies have been frustratingly slow, it has to be made clear that unless every one of our citizens can reach their full potential our nations never will – because i passionately believe persons with disabilities constitute part of the overall talent pool in the country and should also be treated fairly in accessing social, economic and development opportunities. The dance hall artiste, a once disabled person, added that there was the need for people living with various disabilities to be paid attention to. According to him, everybody can, at a point in life, experience some form of disability. The “Tomorrow hit maker also indicated that he offered everyone who attended training in bead and soap making amongst others.
