Burna Boy declares himself number one artiste, shades Davido after his reply
The popular award-winning Nigerian Afrobeat singer Burna boy, who has been nominated a second time for the 2021 Grammy awards, declares himself the number one in Nigeria.
Later after Burna Boy received a nomination for ‘Best Global music album’ with his “Twice As Tall” album at the recently announced upcoming awards show, he subtly shaded Davido on his snapchat account saying; “ Some people can perform but can’t sing, so people can perform and sing, Quality over Hype.”
After Burna Boy’s post on snapchat, Davido who is yet to score a Grammy nomination replied Burna on twitter. “Shey you sing pass Wande coal,” he tweeted.

Burna couldn’t ignore Davido, but took to snapchat once again to subtly shade Davido and hail himself as the topmost artiste in Nigeria. “POWER HAS CHANGED HANDS. Accept and move on. I be #1 before before no be title.”
Meanwhile, the fans of the two Nigerian Afrobeat artistes are arguing on social media over who is the top-notch after the derisive exchange between the two artistes.
