Nana Ama Mcbrown wins Best Player in the Juliet Ibrahim Foundation female all-star football match

Juliet Ibrahim Foundation female all star football match 1It was all fun at the El Wak stadium on May Day where the female all-star football match was organized by the Juliet Ibrahim Foundation to save the life of Richard Kusi, a 15 year old kidney cancer patient. The entertaining football match had several highlights when Team Dialysis took the lead in the first half with 2 goals to nothing with goals from the likes of YFM presenter Caroline Sampson. However Team Surgery came back strong in the second half after their claims that Team Dialysis had fielded an unqualified Black Queens goalie resulted in disqualification of the said goalkeeper who had saved a brilliant penalty kick earlier in the match. Team Surgery pulled 2 goals back in the names of CitiFM presenter, Jessica Saforo Opare and YFM’s DJ Kess.  It ended 2-2 and couldn’t be decided on penalties as both teams kept scoring and missing their kicks almost as if it was scripted. The match officiated by The One Show host, PY Addo Boateng and Benny Blanco ended in a stalemate and would be decided in a rematch on a yet to be announced date.  Actress Nana Ama Mcbrown was adjudged the ‘man of the match’.  Among the stars that played the game were Joselyn Dumas, Mzbel, Gloria Osei, Debbie Vanessa,  Kyeiwaa, Naa Ashorkor, Mandy J, Beverly Afaglo, Juliet Ibrahim, Becca, Afia Schwarzenegger and others.
