How You Can Use Audience Insights To Create Better Content
Unlike traditional media, YouTube allows creator to connect directly with their audiences. Therefore, as a vlogger, you can use the insights your audience provides to create better content.
Here’s what you can do.
Get to know the people you’re creating content for.
Your core audience likely has a lot in common. By knowing more about their similarities, you’ll be better equipped to create content that appeals to the kind of people who watch your videos.
It’s helpful to know the age range, gender, and location of your audience. YouTube classifies all this information under viewer demographics in your channel analytics, which you can find in your Creator Studio.
This tutorial will help you understand your channel analytics, including your viewer demographics.
Use your viewers’ comments to improve the experience of watching your videos.
No matter how daunting the comment section may seem, it’s full of valuable information regarding what it’s like to watch your videos. For example, some viewers may struggle to understand what you’re saying because of the microphone you’re using, or the change in lighting may bother them.
Use this kind of feedback to improve their viewing experience. If you see a lot of viewers repeating the same suggestions or complaints, then you should adjust your set-up accordingly.
The same goes for the format of your videos. If you’re unsure how long your videos should be or how frequently you should upload, then you can create a poll on your community tab.
When Rhett and Link made important changes to Good Mythical Morning, they shared a candid response to their audience’s feedback on their second channel.
Learn what your audience likes by checking out other creators they love.
Finally, you can find inspiration for videos your audience will love by checking out other creators they watch. Find out what channels they like by looking at fan Twitter and Instagram profiles. What other creators do they make fan art, memes, etc. for?
You can make videos similar to these creators’ most popular series or their viral videos. Just be sure to credit them for their ideas. Your fans will love hearing you shout-out another creator they love, too!
For example, when Zoella created her 7 Second Challenge video, she credited the idea to fellow British vlogger AmazingPhil.
YouTube is one of the only video-based platforms that allows creators to connect with their audiences directly. Use those audience insights to your advantage.

Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah is set to enter the political fray by rubbing shoulders with notable personalities in the upcoming general elections.

While Dumelo and Alhassan represents the NDC and NPP respectively, Appiah is expected feature in the elections as an independent candidate.
This was revealed by the Spokesperson of the Ayew family Fiifi Tackie via X on Friday afternoon.
“Stephen Appiah to contest Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency as an independent Parliamentary candidate,” he wrote.
If Stephen Appiah affirms the reported news, he will be following in the footsteps of other renowned figures in Ghana football who have indulged in politics recently.
Earlier this year, all-time top scorer of the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan was appointed as the sub-committee chair of Youth and Sports in the campaign committee of Dr Bawumia, the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
In acceptance of the appointment, Gyan emphasised the need to share hos ideas garnered through experience in the game.

‘I have enough experience to contribute to sports – Asamoah Gyan reacts to political appointment
“I always ask myself, how do we create change if we don’t want to change? How do we spectate without being on the bench, and how do we score without being on the field?… All I know and will ever know, all I love and will ever love is SPORTS.” he stated.
Another figure in Ghana football who recently announced his intention to engage in partisan politics is Kwesi Nyantakyi, former Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The former football administrator showed up as one of the candidates to contest in the NPP primaries for the Ejisu constituency following the demise of incumbent John Kumah.
However, it didn’t pan out well for the former Wa All Stars owner as he lost disappointingly.
He garnered a paltry 35 votes after close to 1,081 delegates had cast their votes in the parliamentary primary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) held in the Ejisu Constituency on April 13.
