I miss having a manager; I have to personally call DJs before they play my songs now-Kwaw Kese

Ghanaian Hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kese has revealed that the death of his manger, Fennec Okyere has affected his music career greatly.

According to Kwaw Kese, Fennec was a great manager who handled all his business swiftly.

However, since his death, he hasn’t been able to come up with a team that will handle his music affairs.

“I miss him every day every minute. You can tell that fans mostly question my silence in the industry. It is not as if I don’t make music. I have several unreleased tunes. For example, it took me almost a year to release my latest single ‘Win.’ My biggest problem right now is my team. Who manages my team? Fennec was doing it great,” he stated in an interview with Quophi Okyeame on Angel FM.

Kwaw Kese further revealed the troubles he has to go through to get his music out to the public.

“Currently, I have to personally call some DJs before they play my music, but with Fennec, he handled all that. He could seal a deal and just call to inform me he’s taken cash on my behalf, like three shows, but now organizers don’t even have my contact to reach out to me,” he added.

Before his early demise, Fennec Okyere was the head of MadTime Entertainment and manager of Kwaw Kese.

He was found dead at his Manet Gardens residence, in March 2014. Fennec was brutally killed by unknown assailants, who broke into his house in Accra on Thursday, 13, March, 2014.
