UK-BASED Ghanaian Gospel musician, Joe Bamfro has been nominated in the Gospel Song of The Year category in the upcoming Ghana Music Awards UK(GMA UK) scheduled for October in the United Kingdom.
His song Moko Be did the trick for him and Joe Bamfro is besides himself with excitement being the first time he has ever been nominated in an awards scheme.
Speaking to Graphic Showbiz from his UK base, Joe Bamfro said he was super excited about the nomination, “It feels great, it makes me feel that I am certainly doing something right considering that I have been doing music professionally for only a little over a year.
“It is certainly the doing of the Lord and it is indeed marvellous in my eyes. As the saying goes, He makes all things beautiful in His time and I believe this is God’s appointed time for me to shine.

“Thanks to all the DJs who play our songs on radio and at events held here in the United Kingdom, they have all contributed to taking our music far and being recognised. I am genuinely grateful to all of them,’’ he said.
Even though it is his first time being nominated, Joe Bamfro is very opitimistic about winning, “There may be equally great songs in the category but I am very optimistic about winning because my song is very inspiring”, he added.
Joe Bamfro used the opportunity to commend the organisers of the awards for the laudable initiative, “I think the GMA UK is a very good initiative, they are recognising Ghanaian musicians in Ghana as well as here in the UK”, he said.
Asked if he thinks Ghanaians living in the UK patronise works of Ghanaian musicians based there, he said “Yes they do and I must admit that their patronage is very appreciable and encouraging, it is good.
“Thus, I would like to urge everyone to continue following the Joe Bamfro Ministries because we are moving forward. We are hoping to bring you good music all across the world, keep us in your mind and prayers,’’ he concluded.
