The spectacles were a constant reminder of his expansive fan base, creating an electrifying experience that brought together people from all walks of life. A celebration of his latest studio production, the “World’s Hottest Tour” kicked off with the global artist on a beach chair, surrounded by palm trees, sand, and his cooler, giving life to the conceptual album, “Un Verano Sin Ti.” He was then joined by a dance crew that helped him deliver outstanding performances of his party bangers. He later surprised fans with a journey of his repertoire, performing some of his first trap songs and hits from “X100PRE,” “YHLQMDLG” and “El Último Tour del Mundo.” In Mexico City he was joined by surprise guests Arcángel, Buscabulla, Bomba Estéreo, Chencho Corleone, Gabriela Berlingeri, Jhayco, Jowell & Randy, Ñengo Flow, Rauw Alejandro and Sech. His touring milestones aren’t the only ones he’s celebrating, he was recently honored with Billboard’s artist of the year distinction. The honor came with him being the cover of the No. 1’s issue, making him the first Latin act to be on the cover of said issue. He was also named Spotify’s most streamed artist for the third consecutive year, amassing more than 18.5 million streams. Moreover, Apple Music named him its artist of the year, marking the first time since the Apple Music Awards began in 2019 that a Latin artist received the honor. |
