I’m Scared Of Marriage- Iyanya Hints On Why He Is Still Single At 36

Award-winning Nigerian Afro-pop singer, Onoyom Mbuk, who is also known by the stage name Iyanya, has spilt out the reason why he has not tied the nuptial knot at age 36.

According to the ‘Your Waist’ hitmaker, he hasn’t tied the knot at his age because he is scared of marriage. He further emphasized that his childhood experience has made him doubtful of marriage, but still prays for a beautiful marriage as well as a beautiful home.

Iyanya, who is also a song writer made this statement while speaking in an interview with one of Nigeria’s popular media personalities, Chude Jideonwo.

The celebrated artiste explained by saying,  “To be real here, I pray to God for a beautiful home. It’s not easy because my experiences as a child have made it difficult for me to just settle for anything.’’

 “It’s not that I don’t want to get married or be in a serious relationship, but marriage is scary for me. At the end of the day, you just have to do it, but I don’t stop praying for a beautiful marriage and a beautiful home,” he added.
