Use Deodorant Before Appearing On Set- Frederick Leonard Tells Colleagues

Popular Nigerian movie star, Frederick Leonard, has expressed displeasure at the horrible body odour he encounters from his colleagues whenever he appears on set.

According to him, every sane human being who works in the movie fraternity must use deodorants before coming on set, adding that he or she must touch up again by 5pm so they don’t begin to smell like a goat.

The renowned actor made this statement while responding to a post by his colleague, Victor Okpalan on the same topic on Instagram.

Okpalan in his post lamented about the attitude of some actors and crew members who come movie set with unpleasant smells.

He explained by saying ““Dear crew members, I love you and am always fighting for you but a roll on or body spray of 300 Naira can save our nostrils. You can’t come onset and smelling like a rat poison seller under Ajah bridge! Like how can’t we breathe where you are? Abeg save our nostrils.”

However, reacting via the comment section, Leonard asserted that deodorants should be compulsory for both cast and crew. He added that filmmakers should also use mint or gum to tackle mouth odour.

“Any human being that has a functioning brain wether cast or crew, should use deodorants, and touch up again by 5.pm so you don’t begin to smell like goat. For a profession that requires that we are constantly on our feet for a minimum of 14 hours, common sense should apply. …And let’s not forget mint or gum to fight mouth odour,” he wrote.
