Alan’s Alliance Hits the Ground Running in Koforidua

Koforidua was energized with hope and excitement as Alan Kyerematen toured the city during his ongoing national campaign tour. Hon. Alan Kyerematen is the leader and founder of the Movement for Change and an independent presidential candidate for the 2024 general elections. Alan engaged various stakeholders in Koforidua including the media, students at the Koforidua Technical University, the Clergy and Islamic leaders as well as Daasebre Nana Kwaku Boateng III.

His message was clear: Ghana needs transformation now, and the people of Ghana can bring about this transformation by voting for the right leader.

Hon. Alan echoed the cries for change of the thousands of people who came to support him during the tour. “The time given to the NPP and NDC, 32 years in total, should have been enough to put us in a better place than we are now,” Alan stated. He highlighted the severe economic crisis facing Ghana, calling it the worst in the nation’s history. This situation, he argued, demands an urgent and revolutionary approach.

Alan critiqued the “winner takes all” political system, which he believes leaves millions of Ghanaians and large regions neglected. “Constant restarts have robbed Ghanaians of consistent progress and sustainable development. What we need is a practical, long-term national development plan spanning the next 30 years.” He added that the current eight-year election cycle has bred arrogance and apathy in leadership.

Alan Kyerematen was joined by other leaders of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change, including Dr. Abu Sakara and Odike. The Alliance was established with the support of diverse parties and interest groups that share a common vision for a national unity government that prioritizes national development over political interests. While each member of the Alliance retains their independence, Alan represents the formidable group as their candidate of choice for the 2024 general election.

The momentum of Alan Kyerematen’s campaign is growing by the day as the elections draw near. This is especially true as the desire for a viable alternative to the NPP and NDC continues to rise. To those asking, “Is Alan still popular? Will he run for president? Can he win as an independent candidate?” the answer to all three questions is an emphatic yes! Alan boldly declared, “I will be in the top 2 in the 2024 presidential election.”

Alan questioned the notion that the NPP and NDC have majorities that cannot be challenged. He explained that the registered number of voters in Ghana, which stands at around 17 million, dwarfs the registered card-bearing members in either the NPP or NDC. “Out of this 17 million, about 9 million are youth between the ages of 18-35. These are the people who have the power to shape the future of Ghana, and they are the people we want to serve.”

Alan also addressed the alarming depreciation of the Cedi. “The strength of the Cedi depends on demand and supply. Our solution needs to be twofold: we must reduce the demand on the dollar by reducing our dependency on imports through local production and import substitution. We must also boost exports to increase the injection of foreign exchange into Ghana. As president of Ghana, I will lead a national export strategy that will generate $25 billion by 2030.”

Alan’s extensive experience with initiatives like the Presidential Special Initiatives (PSI) and One District One Factory (1D1F) proves that he has the vision and competence to realize this goal and lead Ghana’s industrial revolution.

Alan concluded by adding that the loss of confidence in the economy contributes to the decline of the Cedi and prompts investors to withdraw from the country. “Choosing a good leader will restore confidence in the economy and help stabilize the Cedi,” he asserted.
