More than 300 global and African thought leaders and youth agripreneurs will come together for The MasterCard Foundation’s second Young Africa Works Summit on February 16-17 in Kigali, Rwanda. The event will spark new thinking on how Africa’s growing youth population can transform the agricultural sector. Fifty young people will also attend to share their perspectives on employment and self-employment in this sector. “Africa is home to the world’s youngest population with enormous potential to improve agricultural productivity and make the sector a viable source of employment for youth across the continent,” says Ann Miles, Director of Financial Inclusion and Youth Livelihoods, The MasterCard Foundation. “The 2017 Summit will highlight the contributions being made by young people to transform the agricultural sector from subsistence farming to a modern, competitive, sustainable, and equitable business.” With 11 million young Africans entering the job market annually and the rapid expansion of the continent’s agricultural sector, young people are driving the modernization of agriculture through the use of innovative technologies and production systems. The need for agricultural transformation on the continent, however, has never been more pressing. The increasing severity of climate change is already amplifying existing stress on water availability and food security in many African countries. And a growing youth population means this group will be particularly vulnerable. Despite economic growth over the last 10 years, the continent has yet to experience the levels of agricultural productivity that historically paved the way to modernization and industrialization of middle and high-income countries. The agricultural sector, already the largest sector for employment in Africa, is expected to create eight million stable jobs by 2020 and offers tremendous promise for catalyzing prosperity and creating sustainable livelihoods for young people. “Agricultural transformation is a clarion call for us, the youth of Africa,” says Pilirani Khoza, Founder of Bunda Female Students Organisation at Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources. “For decades, agriculture has continued to operate using the same static methods and technologies adopted by our forefathers. We must adopt the new technologies that are available to us. Youth are technological doers and thinkers, they are energetic and hungry for knowledge and they should be actively involved in transforming Africa.” Highlights of the Summit include:
- Keynote address by Her Excellency, Rhoda Peace Tumisiime, Commissioner of Rural Economy and Agriculture, African Union.
- Appearances by Agnes Kalibata, President of the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA); Lindiwe Majele Sibanda, CEO and Head of Mission at the Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN); Eric Kaduru, Founder an CEO of KadAfrica; Frank Altman, President and CEO of the Community Reinvestment Fund; and Simon Winter, Senior Vice President of Development at TechnoServe and Senior Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Zenwag Offers Tips for Identifying Signs Your Dog May Be Stressed
Surveys show that half of U.S. pet owners report using CBD products for their pets
Zenwag, a CBD Oil Tincture for pets, is seeing more pet owners using calming aids to soothe pets dealing with pet anxiety brought on by owners returning to work. Two recent industry surveys found that more than 50 percent of pet owners report using a CBD-based product for their dog or cat, usually based on a veterinarian’s recommendation.
Noise, separation anxiety, and what is called reactivity, such as seeing deer in the yard or encountering another dog, are some of the most common stressors for dogs. Common stressors include plane trips, car rides, vet visits, being left alone, storms, and fireworks.
Zenwag has identified the following signs that your dog may be experiencing stress:
- Abnormal Eye or Ear Position – When a dog pulls their ears back and flat against their head or pulls their eyelids back so that the whites of their eyes are showing. they might feel threatened or anxious.
- Abnormal Posture – A dog’s tail tucked between its legs signifies a stressed-out dog. Other posture signals include curling tightly into a fetal position or crouching low to the ground. Other dogs may become extremely tense and rigid yet remain standing.
- Accidents Inside the House – When a potty-trained pet begins to have accidents in the house, stress is a frequent cause.
- Aggressive Behavior – Even friendly dogs act aggressively when feeling stressed or anxious. Usually, they will growl as a warning that they are feeling nervous or threatened. If the growl is ignored, they may try to snap or bite uncharacteristically.
· Decreased Appetite – Dogs are food-motivated. Refusal of food by a food-motivated dog can signal that your dog is feeling stressed.
· Destructive Behavior – Eating the couch, tearing up the carpet, shredding bedding, or scratching up a door are signs of stress in dogs.
- Diarrhea – Many dogs suffer from what refer to as stress colitis, a form of diarrhea that often contains blood or mucous and can be alarming for pet owners.
- Drooling or Licking – Excessive licking or drooling can signal that a dog is stressed.
· Hiding or Escaping – Dogs often hide in stressful situations or slink under a table or cower behind a chair.
· Pacing – The inability to sit still or stand in one place is a sign of stress in dogs. Dogs frequently pace while waiting for the veterinarian or walk in circles around the couch at home if left alone.
· Panting – Dogs pant to release heat and when overly excited or stressed. If your dog is panting but hasn’t been exercising or playing, the panting may signify stress.
· Shaking – Full body tremors are a sign of a dog experiencing stress.
- Shedding – Sometimes, dogs who become stressed or overly excited will begin shedding an abnormal amount.
- Tense Lips – A stressed-out dog often has tense lips that are pulled back. Some stressed dogs will even lift their lips, showing their teeth, warning that they feel unsafe and anxious.
· Whining/Vocalization – Whining can indicate stress in dogs. Dogs whine when they are uncomfortable, and many whine throughout the duration of a stressful event. Atypical barking, like barking at nothing in particular or relentless barking, also signals dog stress.
- Yawning – Repeated yawning, or long or drawn-out yawns can signify a stressed dog.

African sides at the World Cup round-up
African sides at the World Cup always bring joy, nearly as much as using this site, but they also prove a difficult task for many who face them. With five nations at this year’s World Cup, there is an expectation for one of them to make it out of the group. With all the teams having played at least one game let’s evaluate what we know about each side and their chances of escaping the group.
It has been a tough journey for the AFCON nations to make this World Cup and they will want to stamp their authority onto the 2022 Qatar World Cup in some sort of capacity. It has been exciting seeing the teams take part in their first game.
At the time of writing Senegal, Tunisia and Morocco have all played twice but Ghana and Cameroon have only played once.
The Senegalese entered the tournament handicapped straight away as star man Sadio Mane was ruled out through injury. However, a good resistant showing against the Netherlands (which unfortunately ended in a loss) was followed up by an emphatic 3-1 win over the hosts.
With Senegal left with one more game to play in their group it will be a winner takes all game against Ecuador on Tuesday!
It has not been a great World Cup for Tunisia who were hoping to build on a 0-0 draw against Denmark but against Australia, they were poor which leaves them needing a big win against the favourites France.
Tunisia could use the Manchester United starlet Hannibal Mejibri more to gain some creativity and he could be the key to surprising some teams in this tournament.
Ghana came up against Portugal and produced one of the most thrilling second halves that the tournament has thrown up. They were even close to snatching a point but Inaki Williams lost his footing at the most vital of times.
Ghana are in such a tough group that they will need to carry on with the attacking presence they have as they extended their run of scoring in their last six World Cup games.
Morroco enjoyed a good game against Croatia and were unlucky not to pick up all three points. However, things were much better against Belgium as they defeated the European giants in a thrilling game where Hakim Ziyech was sensational.
Morocco now stands an excellent chance of progressing out of a problematic group as they are second and face Canada, who have not won yet.
Cameroon came up against a tricky Switzerland side who eeked out a 1-0 win. Cameroon enjoyed good spells in the game and were unlucky not to have profited from some excellent wing play down the right-hand side.
Next up with Cameroon will be Serbia and they will be hoping to profit from their star players such as Eric Choupo-Moting, Bryan Mbeumo, and André-Frank Zambo Anguissa. Cameroon have the capability to beat Serbia but the Serbians will be a physical outfit, especially with Aleksandar Mitrovic up front.
8 Tips to Make Writing Essays Easier for Every Student
Whether it’s for middle school, high school, or even college, writing essays can be stressful no matter how much experience you have with the art form. However, once you learn some of the tips and tricks outlined below, writing essays will become easier and less intimidating to your brain. Here are eight tips to make writing essays easier for every student just like I used to write my essay.
1) Use an Outline
Outline , if you don’t already, so that your essay is easy to follow. If you are doing a five paragraph essay, start with the thesis and the introduction in one sentence each. Then add the three points of your body paragraphs in order. Finish with a conclusion paragraph that brings it all together. Use this outline as your road map, and then write! Even when you’re just brainstorming ideas, an outline will help you stay focused and organized.
2) Do Your Research
Researching your topic is a must. If you don’t know what you are talking about, then it will be difficult to write an essay that isn’t just full of errors and misspelled words. When researching, be sure to read other essays on the same subject and compare your ideas with theirs. It is also a good idea to make an outline of your essay before actually writing it. Outlines help keep you focused and organized so that everything stays straight in your head.
3) Create a Thesis Statement
Creating a thesis statement will help you focus your writing and make it easier to create transitions without having to buy essay online. Thesis statements usually answer the question: What is the author trying to say? or What is the main point of this essay? also helps you decide on your topic so you can find supporting details. Remember, a good thesis statement answers three questions: (1) what are you going to talk about?, (2) what’s the point?, and (3) why should I care?
4) Introduce Your Topic
Introduce your topic, summarize the essay and then go into detail on your first point. The introduction should be 2-3 sentences long and the summary should be a sentence or two. Then write one paragraph per point with each paragraph being 3-5 sentences long. Finish up by repeating your thesis statement at the end of your last paragraph. If you don’t have five points in your essay you can add more points or use less but it’s best to keep it between 5-7 points in total.
5) Use Transitions
Make use of transitions in your writing so that the reader is aware of where one idea ends and another begins. Transitions are important because they make it easier for the reader to follow your ideas and arguments. One way to ensure you have enough transitions is to stop every time you start a new paragraph, sentence, or thought and ask yourself if there needs to be a transition here, or better still, make use of https://us.payforessay.net/.
6) Develop Your Arguments
Developing an argument means you have a point of view. For example, the opinion that Shakespeare was the world’s first playwright is an argument. So, it might be good to take some time at the beginning of your essay and think about what you’re going to say. Developing an argument also means being able to back up your point with evidence or reasons that other people would agree with. You need facts and evidence that support your argument and make sense logically.
7) Conclude Your Essay
Your conclusion is the final chance you have to make a lasting impression on your reader. You should summarize the main points of your essay and leave the reader with a memorable thought or question. Remember, you only have one opportunity to leave an impression, so make it count!
8) Edit and Proofread
Edit and proofread your essay before submitting it. When writing an essay, it is important that every detail is perfect and spelled correctly. Even a small error can distract the reader from what you are trying to say. The best way to catch these errors is by editing and proofreading your work over again and also get help from https://hitechglitz.com/effective-writing-tips-for-law-essays/.

Six Reasons Why College Students Should Buy Used Books
College students struggle with numerous expenses that make higher education pricey. According to recent evidence, more than 35% of college students drop out due to money issues. In addition, tuition costs have spiked over the years, along with related expenses like books and accommodation.
Most students cannot afford the crucial books they need to complete projects and study. Buying used books offers a solution to students who want to make saving while benefiting from limited editions. Here are some reasons why college students should consider purchasing used books.
- Used Books Save You Money
One of the main reasons why college students buy used books is to save money. Many students cannot afford all the books they need for their studies. Where brand new books cost an arm and a leg, buying used books saves you a ton of money. In most cases, second-hand materials only cost a small fraction of the cost of getting brand-new ones. As a result, you benefit from the same content at a fraction of the cost.
Given the high cost of getting new books, creative students have been pushed to find ways to make savings when purchasing study materials. Getting second-hand books is a highly effective way to save. If the books you get are heavily used, the money you save will be considerable. Another way you can save on used books is by joining groups that exchange study material within the campus.
Engage those who are ahead of you in your course. They can sell books that have been used at affordable rates. Used books can also be found online on dependable websites like Amazon. If you cannot find the book you need, you can easily order write my college paper assistance from professionals online.
- Allow Students to Read More
Another reason to promote used textbooks among college students is that it allows them to read more. For those who love reading, the extra book is always welcome. Moreover, used books can grow your private library without stretching your budget. These materials are relatively cheap and contain the same content as the brand-new ones.
The sheer volume of materials you can include in your budget allows you to purchase more books from different genres. Then, you can buy coursework online if you don’t have the book you need.
- Students Get Books No Longer in Print
One of the pleasures of buying second-hand books is that you can find material that is no longer printed. The only way to locate these gems is by exploring bookstores and websites that sell used study books. Finding that book you have been searching for in a pile of second-hand books can be a fulfilling experience.
You can find these unique materials and add them to your collection. You can also get well-written assignments on platforms like masterpapers.
- Used Books Are Good for the Environment
Another reason why it makes sense to buy used books is because you will be helping the environment. The world is talking about climate change, and everyone is responsible for assisting the planet. Buying used books means reusing products and lowering the pressure on the world’s resources. You will also be helping reduce the number of newly printed books.
- Students Benefit From Free Notes
Students can benefit from notes and markings made by previous owners when they buy used books. Students tend to highlight important points and make brined notes to remember when studying. Those who use these books after the initial owners can use these notes to improve their understanding of critical concepts and make their study sessions more efficient.
In most cases, the notes comprise essential information relating to the pages. Most students find that the messier the books, the richer the information contained therein in terms of notes. In most cases, heavily marked and highlighted books are relatively cheaper. Others allow learners to return the books they purchase once they complete their courses. You can also make your mark on the book by scribbling your notes on a few pages. This way, you will be passing your intelligence to other students.
Buying used books allows students to make savings while helping the environment. Students also benefit from unique copies that may no longer be in production. Furthermore, it is possible to recoup some of the money invested when buying the book by reselling it after completing the course.
