Davido sues baby mama Sophia Momodu for custody of daughter Imade

Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken legal action against his first baby mama Sophia Momodu at the Lagos State High Court, seeking joint custody of their daughter, Aurora Imade Adeleke.

The suit, filed on April 17, 2024, under case number LD/1587PMC/2024, requests the court to grant Davido unfettered access to Imade. Despite their relationship ending years ago, Davido claims he has continued to provide for Imade’s well-being, covering all school fees and rent for the apartment where Sophia and Imade reside.

Davido alleges that Momodu has made unreasonable demands, rejecting his offer of a luxury apartment in Oniru, Victoria Island, and insisting he pay N5,000,000 annually for her rented facility instead. He also mentioned purchasing a Range Rover SUV for their transportation needs, which he claims Momodu has used to frustrate his efforts. The legal dispute follows ongoing public disagreements between the two parents.
