For the first six years of their marriage, Adjetey Anang and his wife, Elom Anang struggled with childbirth.

In their search for a child, the two lovebirds entertained all the available options, including visiting fertility clinics, and putting their faith in God almighty.

According to Elom, as narrated in her husband’s memoir, during the sixth year of childlessness, they encountered Dr. Mensa Otabil, founder of the International Central Gospel Church.

Elom shares in Chapter 11 of the book, that it was during this encounter with Dr. Otabil, where he prophesied that were going to welcome a child in their seventh year of marriage.

“Adjetey and I were in the youth ministry at the time and he had asked to see us to discuss his plans for performing arts in the church. During the meeting, he randomly asked us ‘How long have you been married’?”

“Six years,” Elom answered to which Dr Otabil responded to with another question; “So, what are the doctors saying?”

Elom says they “went on to share everything with him and he did something really special. He stopped the discussion and asked that we share a word of prayer.”

“He asked if we could agree with him that God would give us a child and we agreed. He held hands with us together and since we were three, we should agree on having a baby in the seventh year,” she added.

Elom shared that they both agreed that she was going to have a baby in the seventh year; “That was the declaration and we all agreed upon that and prayed upon the decree.”

“The following year was the seventh and the theme for ICC that year was ‘Perfection’, perfection with reference to the number seven. And lo and behold, I conceived in the seventh year and we had our son just as we had agreed!” she shared.

As prophesied, Elom and Adjetey welcomed their first child, a son in their seventh year of marriage and he has since become the biggest blessing in their lives.
