G-West’s essence and collaborative effort behind ‘People Pleaser’ video
G-West, a dynamic Ghanaian Afrobeat artist, was born on February 21, 1998, in Kwadaso, Kumasi. He was raised by his parents, Mercy Ofori-Atta and George Kofi Mensah, and spent his formative years immersed in the vibrant culture of Kumasi.
G-West’s educational journey began at KNUST Primary and Junior High School and continued at Prempeh College. With his roots deeply embedded in Ghanaian heritage and a passion for music, G-West’s artistic journey is making waves in the Afrobeat scene.
G-West has released the official music video for “People Pleaser,” a fan-favorite track from his upcoming EP. The video was directed by the visionary SYX, with Kofi Sonny serving as the executive producer. The cinematography was done by Daniel Attoh, with creative direction by @kamizaroku and @koj.sei. The first AC was Sane, the gaffer was @ibrah, and the project manager was Kenny (@kenn_eyy). Styling was done by Koj.sei, makeup by Sue (@slay_with_sue), and body paint by Sue, Tosari, and Merci (@T0sari, @mercikubik). Art direction was also by Koj.sei. The lead model was @krys_ken, with runners @frankamoahyaw. Editing and VFX were handled by control.vfx, and color by tytanium.G-West continues to make history with his song “People Pleaser,” which has been featured on almost all radio stations and pubs across the country since its release. This video further solidifies his status as one of the top emerging Afrobeat sensations in the country.
“People Pleaser” was produced by Ghanaian Stallion under 610 Music, an American record label and distribution company founded by Kofi Sonny.
