GH Senior Prom 2012 set for June 1
After months of preparations and deliberations, one of the biggest events on the High School calendar is back again, this time with a new brand name and more educative features. GH Senior Prom 2012 was recently launched with the theme âYouth Against Drugsâ, a campaign which is initiated under the Prom committee to champion the course of the Ghanaian youth and âstudenthoodâ against the use of Hard Drugs and the dangers associated with its use. The event which has previously been highly patronized by most of the high school students annually is scheduled to take place on June 1at Lizzyâs Complex, East Legon. The Senior Prom this year will involve over 30 high schools across the country. Final year students of the various high schools are expected to troop to the venue on the day to cheer up their various representatives to the ultimate prize. The GH Senior Prom 2012 will crown the Senior Prom King & Queen based on individual intellectual, talent, art & fashion and influence on peers during the night of the event through a process which involves 70% voting from audience (students) and 30% from judges. Both the Prom King & Queen for this year will be the ambassadors for the Youth Against Drugs (YAD) campaign for the next year ahead. Organizers of the Senior Prom 2012 event Fresh Page Concepts have therefore opened entry for nominations to the various high schools to submit their Prom King & Queen reps before May 1. The event will also feature top celebrities from the Music, Movie, Radio and Television industry who will be speaking and gracing the event as role models to inspire the youth and students to achieving greater heights in their respective endeavors.
