Ghanaian artists miss out on BET Hip Hop Awards 2024 nominations

BET has announced the nominees and host for the 19th annual BET Hip Hop Awards 2024.

The ceremony will take place in Las Vegas on October 8, with Fat Joe returning as co-executive producer and host. The show is set to air on BET on October 15, 2024, at 8 PM ET/PT.

This year’s nominations notably exclude Ghanaian artists, despite Ghanaian stars Sarkodie and Black Sherif having won the Best International Flow Category in 2019 and 2023, respectively. The current nominees in this category are SDM, Leys MC, Racionais MCs, Budah, Ghetts, Bashy, SteffLon Don, Maglera Doe Boy, Blxckie, and Odumodublvck.

The awards will honor achievements in Hip Hop over the past year across 17 categories, with winners selected by a panel of industry experts.
