Gospel musicians relatively earn little money as it is reinvested into the ministry- Nacee
Contemporary Ghanaian Gospel musician, Nana Osei popularly known as Nacee, has revealed gospel musicians earn relatively lower than their secular counterparts.
Speaking as a guest on TV3, the ‘Aseda’ singer clarified that there is very little money set aside for their pockets because the majority of their music revenues are invested back into their music and ministry.
“Financially, I would say yes and no. Because on our side, the gospel side mostly, you make the money, you push the money back into ministry, like helping other people and also making sure that the word will go. So ours is not like you get the money; you put it in your pocket,” he said.

According to Nacee, they receive royalties from the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) but the money is not enough to make ends meet.
“We get royalties. We get but it’s not something that I can’t really say that is big enough. I think it’s a thousand-something,” he added.
