Guru believes a $20million investment on Ghanaian artistes by the gov’t will go a long way

Ghanaian Hip-life musician, Guru has stated that for artistes in Ghana to achieve international recognition, they need to be invested in.

According to the “Lapaz Toyota” hitmaker, he believes a little investment into artistes can help boost the music scene.

Guru believes that a huge investment of about $20million, can put Ghanaian artistes at par with their Nigerian counterparts.

“You just budget for 20 million for twenty artistes, give them one year, and after coming back for auditing for them to prove how the money was used.

“You just try for once. When you go for a loan of 200 million just take 10 million out of it and see what they can do”, he stated.

Guru, who is focusing on Real Estate at the moment, added that this investment will help with the financial constraints artistes have with producing and marketing music.
