Ghanaian music producer, Quick Action, whose real name is Joseph Appiah, has drawn the attention of Charterhouse, organisers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) on the fact that he has not received the due recognition under their award scheme for his creativity.

According to him, he deserves at least a merit award for his hard work and enormous contribution to the Ghanaian music fraternity and to a larger extent, the scheme’s success.

Taking to his Facebook page on Sunday, April 23, 2023, the renowned producer, who has produced the works of a lot of award-winning Ghanaian musicians such Cindy Thompson, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Samini Okomfo Kwaade, Ohemaa Mercy, Cindy Thompson among others opined that the progress of Ghanaian music could be attributed to the numerous sacrifices he’s made in the industry.
He explained by saying, ‘‘Ghana Music is what it is today because some of us in the creative industry sacrificed a lot of time, energy, sleepless nights, creativity in projecting our crafts to the international Communities.’’

Quick Action concluded by pleading with Charterhouse to permit him to perform at the yet to be held VGMA23. “I also request your good office to grant me 15 minutes of your stage time to enable me to perform some of the instrumentals of my productions with KEYTAR. This I believe will help my DYSLEXIA AWARENESS CAMPAIGN,’’ he added.
