Jeremone Otchere shares story of how he met his wife to mark their 10th anniversary
Ghanaian journalist and football pundit, Jeremone Otchere is celebrating a decade of marital bliss with his beloved wife, Josephine.
In a social media post to commemorate the day, Jeremone took a nostalgic journey back to the fateful day they crossed paths, intertwining their destinies forever.
He shared the enchanting story of their serendipitous encounter, a tale reminiscent of a romantic comedy script.
“I met this young pharmacist at her office a decade back. She showed good manners and professionalism in attending to me. I was wowed! Days later, I returned to her base. She was her usual self: Nice and respectful. Weeks on, I came back again. I had found a fine friend. I would ask her out and politely she declined. I pursued her nonetheless,” he wrote.
He continued; “One weekend, I asked about her plans. she’d be a bridesmaid at a friend’s wedding, she told me. I wanted to be there just to see her. Firmly, she insisted I shouldn’t come. Even if I came, I’ll only sit in the pews, she maintained.
It wasn’t a cool idea for me but I admired her forthrightness. ‘Well’, I said, ‘on your wedding day, I’ll be there. I won’t sit in the pews. I’ll be the man to share the vows with you’ I said. She smiled and still kept her stance.”
Jeremone further noted that his beloved wife still remains the unyielding, unpretentious lady he met some ten years ago. He went on to assert that their marital journey has not been a rosy ride, however, Josephine had been a super wife.
” Marriage is work and God works through it all if you put Him at the centre of it. It’s my lesson. God, thank you,” he concluded.
