okyeame kwame and berthaThe 2011 edition of Joy FM’s annual ‘Nite With The Stars’ jam brought together a galaxy of stars from the world of sports, television, film, radio, and music to celebrate what could be described as the music of the last decade!

The night saw the return of some long lost hit makers onto the stage, some for the launch of a new music journey and others just for one night only.  There were performances from the likes of Obrafour, Bradez, Castro and Yaw Siki. T-Blaze of the popular ‘Wo Sisi Yewo Ya’ did his hit numbers including ‘Secretary’ and ‘Feeling No Ye Deep’. Hiplife group  Buk Bak took the crowd through their classic hits and brought it home with the new single, ‘Kpollom’, driving the crowd wild!

Other highlights included, Okyeame Kwame entering the auditorium, singing and riding on a horse. Samini, Kokovelli and K.K. Fosu reunited as The Trinity to perform songs like ‘Zaa Zaa’ and ‘Sudwe’; while Kofi Nti and Ofori Amponsah had their own reunion on stage as well. Gasmila, who has one of the fastest rising singles in Accra, ‘Aboodaatoi’ also had his first major platform to show the whole of Ghana why he claims to be the King of Azonto.

MTN, main sponsors of the show as part of activities marking their 10 million milestone gave away exciting prizes including airtime and Blackberry handsets. The two Blackberry phones were given away through the popular Azonto dance competition.
