Ghanaian Rapper/Singer-songwriter, Kwame Ametepee Tsikata, popularly known as M.anifest has satisfied the curiosity of Ghanaians who wonder why he didn’t follow in the footsteps of his parents and become a lawyer himself but instead took a completely different path in life.

According to M.anifest, although he enjoys legal shows and thinks the legal profession is fantastic, it had never been his calling.

In an interview on the GTV Breakfast show, he said;

“There are so many lawyers in my family, so it’s always been a curious thing. I do enjoy law shows. I think there was probably a moment or two that there might have been a consideration, it was nothing that ever sat with me. I think the legal profession is fantastic. I like a lot of other people have a great big curiosity about many things legal. But you know, it has not been my calling,” he explained.

Although he may have not followed in the steps of his parents to become a lawyer, the “God MC” rapper is not shying away from the possibility that it may happen someday.

“But you know I never say never, maybe one day when I want a third, fourth win in life at sixty I might be like, ‘you know what let’s become you know. Ten years ago, I would never have said, ten years ago I would have been like no it’s not my calling. But I’m just like I’ve never detested the law per say but it was just not my path necessarily” he added.

M.anifest states that although entertainment lawyer maybe the obvious choice for him since he’s in the industry already, he would want to be a different kind of Lawyer should he choose to take that path.

“If I wanted to be a lawyer, I would not be an entertainment lawyer, I would be a different kind of lawyer,” he said.
