My Collaboration With Sarkodie Was Inspired By His Mother -Pat Thomas

In the world of music, collaborations often lead to remarkable compositions that leave a lasting impact on both artists and their audiences. One of such extraordinary partnership was sparked by none other than Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie’s own mother, setting the stage for a soulful collaboration with legendary highlife musician, Pat Thomas.

Born Nana Kwabena Amo Mensah, Pat Thomas, in an interview with  Asaase Radio’s Keely Jade-Brewer on Monday, July 24, 2023, revealed his collaboration with Sarkodie was based on a suggestion by the latter’s mother

Describing the collaboration as his best ever so far, the ‘ Sika Ye Mogya’ hitmaker said, “His mother recommended it and I second-motioned to that and we did. As a matter of fact, I like all of them but I will choose me and Sark.”

He continued by saying, ”Well myself and Sarkodie go way back. I know his mother. His mother used to come wherever I played, especially at Tip-Toe Night Club.”

Sarkodie in his 2015 Mary Album collaborated with the veteran musican to produce a timeless highlife piece titled, ‘Bra’.
