Peruzzi on having Davido as a mentor

“I lived with David for two years, and I can tell you he doesn’t sleep. Me meeting Davido, thinking ‘okay, this guy has already achieved now, he’s supposed to play and supposed to chill,’ and then he is in the studio till 7:00 AM, 6:00 AM. I’m like no, I just knew that okay guy, the higher you go, the more you have to give, you get me. And that’s what drives me, till today.”

Peruzzi on why he’s big on humility

Cuppy: “You talk about humility a lot, I noticed. And so, what would you say your philosophy is as an artist and where you started versus where you are now?”

Peruzzi: “It’s been me just learning from the people I used to watch on TV while growing up because all I knew was how to write songs and how to arrange songs. But I met people like Davido, people like 2Face, like Don Jazzy, and I just knew that okay guy, you don’t do anything about these places you are now. So the best thing is for you to just pick at least 1 to 10 good things from every legend you meet.”

Peruzzi on why the album ‘Rum n Boogie’ is split in two parts

“The rum part is for like all the emotional songs, the love songs and stuff. And then, the boogie part is basically what people have not seen me do before, like me trying new things. Your up tempo days all the way straight to the club.”

Dr Sivuyile Madikana’s proverb

“I think it’s one of my favorite sayings and it comes from a language in South Africa called Xhosa. So we’ve got 12 official languages. And I come from the Xhosa tribe in South Africa and it says [Xhosa Language], which is translated to mean that… Translated word for word, [Xhosa Language], meaning God, [Xhosa Language], meaning the forest, and [Xhosa Language], meaning mine. So essentially ‘God is my forest’ and it can also be translated to mean that ‘God is my refuge.’ ”

Afro Fusion sensation, OOSHA , has dropped his highly anticipated body of work dubbed “OOSHATIDE” featuring 12 distinct tracks such as “Caesar place ,” DND,” “OOSHATIDE,” “Pull Up,” and “Over u.” The artist said of the new release in a statement: “On this project, I connect with my inner flame, It’s like an outburst on the inside of me that I’ve held in for too long. It’s not fueled with negativity, rather it’s fueled with drive, passion, and destiny. What people will hear on this project is a little exhale from me, only that it comes with fire.” OOSHA music has frequently divided opinions. his flitting across a range of genres. His output on his new album OOSHATIDE showed this off, earning him the love of a dedicated fanbase as OOSHA continues to salute the salacious nature of Afro Fusion, but his vocal deliveries are far-ranging, existing on the seams of diasporic affiliations and dreamy inventiveness. His melodies sometimes sound like mutterings from the depth of sex-induced sleep, but with his endless cache of Nigerian references.
