Claudia Lumor, the Publisher of Glitz Africa Magazine, has been getting some major firsthand learnings from the New York Fashion Week, ahead of the Glitz Africa Fashion Week ( which is scheduled for October 5-8). Claudia is currently in the USA observing and participating in the New York Fashion Week on the invitation of her mentor, who happens to be the owner of one of the production companies that produce the New York Fashion Week, and other huge productions.  She has been working as part of the production crew for New York Fashion Week, and she hints that it has been a great experience which she hopes to bring to bear on her fashion week in Ghana, next month. “It has been a great experience working on the shows with the crew; and meeting some lovely people. I’m looking forward to bringing the team to Ghana to work with me on Glitz Africa Fashion Week and the impact it will make on our fashion week,” she told me. Claudia Lumor has had the chance to meet some fashion bigwigs including famous fashion mentor on ‘Project Runway’, Timothy MacKenzie Gunn; popular runway coach, J. Alexander (Miss J) from ‘America’s Next Top Model’. She was also spotted with Tony nominated and Grammy winning actress Danielle Brooks; model and Kylie Jenner’s BFF, Jordyn Woods; as well as ‘Orange Is The New Black’ and ‘Greanleaf’ star, Lovie Simone.
