Photos: Gyakie shuts down Kumasi with ‘Live Experience’ concert
Saturday night, Saturday 21, 2020, is one that will not be forgotten as Gyakie etched her name in the history books selling out popular event venue ‘The View ‘and highlighting a vivid indication of her increasing dominance on the global scene.
The event was solely organized event by Flip the Music headed by the label CEO Emmanuel “Mirror” Sedo.
The singer made an epic entrance arriving to chants of “Gyakie, Gyakie, Gyakie,Gyakie” as she performed her viral single “Never like this”.
Her set included “Nana Nyame, Control, So mi mu, Whine and her global hit song Forever.
The woman that the audience had gathered to watch and in true superstar fashion, backed by the band and her colourful dancers, Gyakie’s stage prowess outshone any expectations that those who gathered might have brought into the venue.
Other artistes like Yaw Tog, Broni, Malcolm Nuna, Mister Oscar all took turns at the event to perform.
The crowd who were well versed with the line up of his songs sang loudly to every one in what was a very charged atmosphere and Davido’s energetic set matched the energy from the audience.
The show was hosted by Pure FM’s DJ Aroma with support from MC Mensa Jnr, Berima Sean Bills and iPhxne DJ and produced and financed by Flip the Music.
The much anticipated concert indeed was how She had pictured it, perhaps even better, Gyakie had not only sold out her concert, but she had also left her mark as one the young artiste to have single handedly sold out a venue in recent times.

Kofi Asamoah selected for professional exchange program managed through the US Department of State
Ghanaian award-winning filmmaker and Creative Director, Kofi Asamoah, has been nominated and selected by the U.S. Embassy in Accra to participate in a professional exchange program managed through the US Department of State in partnership with Meridian International Center and UNESCO.
The fully funded program entitled, “Intellectual Property Best Practices for Creative Entrepreneurs and Policy Makers”, takes 8 individuals from Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire to the United States for a two-week program, June 22 to July 3, 2024. The program will travel to DC, Atlanta and LA focusing on meeting with experts in the creative industry, specifically film and music, as well as have a dedicated focus on copyright law and application.
The Department of State has outlined the following specific objectives for the project:
• Exchange best practices with U.S. policymakers, at the state and local levels, to improve the operating environment, drive employment growth, and attract global investment into their local creative markets;
• Examine the creative industries’ infrastructure and business ecosystem; with input from IP experts, film and recording studios, industry associations, and other thought leaders; and
• Gain exposure to key business tools used by members of the creative economy to scale work globally.
Kofi Asamoah, who is also CEO of Kofas Media, describes the opportunity as ‘ golden ‘. In a Facebook post, he thanked The US Embassy in Accra and The US department of state for recognizing the need to impact the local Creative ecosystem.
