South African designer, David Tlale talks about Angelina Jolie buying his collection at New York Fashion Week

Renowned South African fashion designer David Tlale has cleared the air on rumours that US actress Angelina Jolie loved his New York Fashion Week Spring 2013 collection so much that she met him backstage. The rumours started spreading on Twitter on Monday that the 37-year-old actress was spotted backstage after the David Tlale showcased his 21-piece collection, called Transcendence. But it turns out Jolie had been confused for Swedish stylist Angelina Jolin, who is revered in the fashion industry but  miles away from the celebrity power that Brad Pitt’s fiancée wields.  Jolin is a former model and has worked for magazines including Maxim, GQ, Vogue and Elle during her time in Paris. When David was asked about the confusion, he laughed: “Oh my God, I heard that. I guess people didn’t listen.”]]>
