Stevie Wonder arrives in Ghana
iconic American musician Stevie Wonder has arrived in Ghana.
This long-awaited visit to the West African nation was met with excitement and warmth as Stevie Wonder and his family were welcomed with open arms by the vibrant Ghanaian culture.
Upon his arrival at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on May 13, 2024, Stevie Wonder was greeted by representatives of the Diaspora Affairs Office of the President, who adorned him and his family with kente sashes.
The musician, known for his soulful voice and timeless hits such as “Superstition” and “I Just Called to Say I Love You,” beamed with excitement as he experienced the rich Ghanaian heritage and culture firsthand.
During his stay in Ghana, Stevie Wonder is expected to engage with local musicians, exploring the country’s rich musical heritage and potentially sharing his incredible talent with fans in the country.
This visit is particularly notable as it comes after Stevie Wonder announced his intention to move to Ghana permanently in 2021.
