GFA begins search for new Black Stars coach
Otoo Adoo and Chris Hughton were trending as potential national team coach replacements, as the Ghana Football Association (GFA) once again ramps up the search for a new Black Stars manager. The selected candidate would replace the embattled Milovan Rajevac who officially notified the GFA of his desire to take up a fresh challenge elsewhere, and was subsequently let go. Fentuo Tahiru , Head of Sports at Citi FM Tweeted about conflicting reports on who the next pick is, while 3SportsGh also asked their Followers who their pick would be in a Tweet.
AFCON UPDATES – Senegal are AFCON finalists, again!
Football fans on Twitter were in an uproar as #TeamSenegal advanced to the AFCON 2021 finals after thrashing #TeamBurkinaFaso 3-1. Sadio Mane was celebrated for stepping up with an assist and a cool finish that sealed their victory, guaranteeing their place as finalists once again. Senegal will play either Cameroon or Egypt in the final, while Burkina Faso will face the loser of the other semi-final in a third-place play-off. #DespiteAt60 was trending as business mogul, Dr. Osei Kwame Despite turned 60 on February 2, celebrating his special day in grand style. Utv Ghana Tweeted a video showing the “birthday boy” arriving at the Kotoka International Airport in a vintage car, displaying his niche tastes! Celebrations climaxed in a huge bash dubbed “Party of the Year” and attended by scores of dignitaries, celebrities and musicians.
