It was a star-studded event at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel which hosted players in the film industry of Ghana, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Morocco for the 2019 Golden Movie Awards Africa.

The 5th edition of the awards ceremony featured movies across five African countries namely Ghana, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, and new entrant being Morocco competing under 25 categories.

This year’s event was hosted by Joselyn Dumas and saw performances from Wendy Shay, S3fa among others.

The occasion saw familiar faces like veteran actor Fred Amugi, Nigerian actress Lilian Esoro, Selly Gally, Rosemond Brown, Nadia Buari, Zynell Zuh, Abdul Salam Mumuni, Fiifi Coleman, Jackie Appiah, James Gardner, Kofi Adjorlolo, Ekow Smith-Asante, Gloria Sarfo, Peter Ritchie, just to mention a few walking the red carpet which was hosted by Nikki Samonas and Victoria Lebene Nkansah.

For this year’s edition, a “Walk Of Fame” was introduced to acknowledge 5 LEGENDS who have been very instrumental in the movie industry and made an immense contribution toward the progress and growth of the industry. Jackie Appiah, Nadia Buari, Roger Quartey and movie producer Abdul Salam Mumuni were honored with special citations and featured on the “Walk Of Fame”.
