Legendary Ghanaian movie actor cum TV Presenter, Akwasi Boadi, well recognised as Akrobeto has dispelled any notions of financial struggles in the Ghanaian movie industry.

His comment comes after several of his colleagues have asserted that acting does not pay enough to enable actors make a living out of it, left alone build mansions.

According to him, anyone who says Kumawood actors and actresses cannot build mansions or make a good living from what they earn from acting is a ‘big’ liar.

Speaking in a candid interview on Precise FM, the movie star made known that, he has built a house with the money he earned from acting emphasizing that he has plans of building another house for himself and his children. He noted that the good life he is currently leaving is as a result of some good money he was able to make from acting.

The host of UTV’s ‘REAL NEWS’ to a greater extent listed some actors who have been able to make a living from what they earn in the movie profession.

”Anyone who says that does not know what he or she is saying. I have a house and even planning on getting another one. I even what to build a house each for my children. And I was able to do that with the money I earned from acting. Look at Lywin, see the school he has built. What Job does he do? Is it not acting? So what are they trying to say?” he asked.
