Actor John Dumelo, who was an aspiring MP the NDC, contested in this year’s parliamentary election, but lost to his opponent, Lydia Alhassan.

Mr. John Dumelo and Madam Lydia Alhassan were contesting at the Ayawaso West-Wuogon constituency.  After the electoral commission declared Madam Lydia winner of the constituency, some people on social media trolled Dumelo for losing, while others sent him words of encouragement.

Van Vicker, colleague actor, and friend to Dumelo, took to Instagram to share a picture of him and Dumelo together, and added some words of encouragement, and commended him for a fight well fought.

“Your performance in the 2020 elections was phenomenal. You were a formidable opponent. Congrats my broda. Better luck next time. You remain our honorable,” he wrote.
